 STRATEGY, NOT STRATEGY 

Strategy is a word that has become synonymous with high-sounding verbiage, lofty ambitions, and motivational buzz speak.  

 

But strategy, real strategy, is none of these things.

We now blend together the concepts from Part One (Rethinking the Event Model) and Part Two (Advanced Level Strategy) to form a foundation from which we construct a new event model. In this course, we examine how event design, the business model and strategy come together to produce sustainable financial margins, balanced engagement, and an optimal return on stakeholder investment.

 

By now, you’ll be acclimated to unconventional ideas and counterintuitive processes, so it won’t be a surprise to find more of that here in this course.  We’ll look at the advantages of reversing some aspects of the event planning process; how we effectively leverage empathy in designing event flow and programs; and it wouldn’t be Alchemy Agency if we didn’t challenge the most common practices in conferences, trade shows and other events by poking holes in some misguided traditions.
